Illegal music file-sharing "declined significantly," down by 17 percent in 2012 compared to 2011, according to The NPD Group. With more services available, such as Spotify, Last.fm and Pandora for streaming and buying music, and giant digital music retailers like Amazon and Apple, consumers have more choices than ever for getting music legally, easily and relatively cheaply.
