Departures magazine announced the six finalists for its “Art of Travel Award.” The winner, which will be announced in October, will receive a $10,000 grant to travel to a destination of their choice to create a work inspired by the destination. After their trip, the winning artist’s work will be featured in a 2013 issue of Departures and in an online gallery at departures.com.
