ART prizes come and go, with most of them bypassing Malaysia altogether. The Aga Khan Award for Architecture is one of the few international awards that has headed in this direction, with offerings as different as the Tanjong Jara Resort and the Universiti Teknologi Petronas. On the whole, however, the creative-radar coverage ends slightly to the west of this country.
