Pamela Friend began her career at the Star Drive-In as a ticket runner, taking receipts from the ticket booth to her dad at the movie theater's office. She was 5 years old. Now, at 58, she continues the business her parents, George and Elizabeth DeVries, began in 1950 in Montrose.
