Its been a while since I last worked with members of the Sikh community in promoting tolerance and education so I have long forgotten the proper greeting to my Sikh friends... I apologize.
Peace!
I am a convert to Islam. I have always put my efforts into promoting tolerance and education to the general public and have worked with members of the Sikh community in my city. It became a natural alliance as Sikhs were often unfairly targeted with hate crimes by people thinking they were attacking Muslims in the backlash against our community after 911.
Now, I am the admin over at Islam Factor forum and I would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in the threads on our forum.
We have a diverse member based from many faiths (and non-faith ppl). I hope to explore and promote diversity on our forum. We have Christians, Muslims, Atheists, etc. The one thing we dont have is Sikh representation.
Our site is dedicated to freedom of expression and diversity with a focus on confronting Islamic extremism and promoting tolerance. We hope to promote a mutual understanding of cooperation and working together on the forum.
I don't want our forum to go without at least some people from the Sikh community to offer challenging discussion on ANY issue that concerns them or to act as a counterbalance on issues related to them.
More particularly, I am interested in people who can tell us about the Sikhh faith and Sikh perspectives.
We have opened the forum to invite only and have a dedicated member base who value intelligent discourse.
If you are interested, please feel free to join and participate. I look forward to seeing you there.
Members of this forum are encouraged to post an introduction and mention that they have come from the Sikhphilosophy.net forum!
