CHICAGO--The head of the Humane Society of the United States has dropped his pursuit of a seat on Tyson Foods Inc.'s TSN board, the animal-protection organization said Friday. Humane Society Chief Executive Wayne Pacelle in October said he was seeking the board seat to urge Tyson to take steps to improve the treatment of animals in its supply chain.
