COLUMBIANA - Someone broke into an office at the Shelby Humane Society last week, taking a safe containing cash and checks worth nearly $850. Columbiana police Detective Richard Fox said he believes the robbery occurred sometime between 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23 and 6 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24.
