Investor's Business Daily - Holding interest rates at 5.25% may not be enough to curb core inflation, said Richmond Fed chief Jeffrey Lacker. He isn't a voting member of the central bank's policy board this year, but last year he dissented by continuing to vote for rate hikes. "Core inflation has been fluctuating between 2% and 2.5% for two years now. ... We need to get back to containing core inflation between 1% and 2%," Lacker told CNBC.
