There are attempts to pass along trash Temple Pooja tokens as genuine Sikh coins from the Sikh Misls era or Maharajah Ranjit Singh era. Please beware and somethings to watch for,

• Defacing to hide tell tale sign of a fake
• Hindi inscription on Coin
• Hindu type "Toppies" (head covering on Guru jis)
• etc.
